The end is better than the beginning ! It've been generally a pretty tough 2009 for me! especially when i've to minister to both army and cg and family at the same time! God has truly maximised my capacity and looking back at what i've did, i thank God for every single thing!

Moving forward, i really gotta gear up and be so so focus on my own life Goals! with ORD date drawing near, means i gotta be ready to step back into Singapore, into society!

Are you ready to climb the tree of the cross of calvary?
To experience our God as our Savior, Healer, Deliverer and One who gives us Visions and Dreams!

Jeremiah 17: 8

For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,

We are like a tree that will go through the darkness and lightness, we never fail to escape obstacle, we never fail to be surrounded by "foxes" to steal our fruits, our relationship with God. But the bible says that we are be like a tree planted by the waters, we have the ability, the authority to command the Angels! to be obedient to God, spreading our roots to the water, feeding ourselves, maintaining a Good christian life and walk with God. I just feel some of the people around me that i first know when i'm a believer are stumbling, or even those i know later. The walk with You oh God is really tough, but to endure, to not be anxious in year of drought but to keep on keeping on. !!

Special Encounter: During Prayer 365 on Friday, i thank God i've approved leave to go for it! It was awesome. during the prayer i felt a sudden gust of wind behind me as though someone is walking past, and that was during a word given by some of the guys in the cg! Presence was tangible and i really hope for more pms like this!

Ahhh! ORD please!

The above picture was taken just now in 960. I felt God saying that this scene will happen in the coming Christmas. Where will i see it? In Expo? In Jurong West? I sense an overwhelming crowd that will listen and get embraced with love through the drama. So excited.

Dr. John Avanzini Preached an awesome message about hearing from God, removing mountains by commanding the angels and definately to be obedient! which is greater than sacrifices! It speaks to many areas of my life, not just to God, but even to my superiors in camp. Just felt tiredness, laziness, slackness overtook my life at times. Gotta really labour and harvest to end 09 well!

God, you are the truth the way and the life.
Many changes to come in my camp.
Grant me the schedule that will avail me in this coming Christmas season to be your labourer, harvester.

really thank God for a great earthly father, He has been sprinklering love and concern to the family and especially to my mum.

Believing always for God's healing to come upon my mum and salvations to enter the house.

In out in out, have a real good rest with leaves clearing from camp. with a hectic 4+ months up ahead, means also the time will fly, towards my ORD DAY! i'm already counting down though there are still 11+ months !!

Well, i did spent some fruitful times with my family members, cell members and friends. and more importantly quality time with God. :)

What lies ahead, God will be in total control. I'm excited to be changed and strengthened, for a longer walk, a longer journey, and bigger breakthrough .

Was a blasted service yet again this week. God's love is awesomely strong and tangible. I just weep and sob through the altar call. He spoke directly to my life and problems i'm facing and i'm sure to many of the people of CHC as well. To be faithful is so difficult. To cling on to the cross, its so difficult. To be like Jesus its so difficult.

But i've once got the answer from God. Through tests, challenges, problems, we will be refined like Gold. He allows trials to make us stronger and never weaker.

Jonah 1:17
Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Jonah was fast asleep even when the sea is raging! He then make the decision to be thrown so that God will calm the sea. It speaks to us that sometimes we know our sin, yet we don't bother, not knowing our sin is hurting others! But as we make a decision to deal with it ourselves, others will be saved and we will be saved differently.

First Question is : Jonah Submitted To God to Deal with his Sins. Have you?
Jonah 2:9
But I will sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed.
Salvation is of the LORD.”

Jonah prayed even in the Belly of the Whale. We can pray anywhere anytime.

After 3 Days 3 Nights, Jonah was out. Resembling Jesus's Death on the Cross. He was swallowed by Death and Resurrected back to Earth before ascending to heaven.

Second Question : Do we have what it takes to endure through and believe our situations will definitely be resurrected no matter how defeated it may seems?

Jonah 3:4
And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said,

“Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”
A Sentence of Conviction and whole nation repented.
Third Question: Do we bring conviction when we deliever God's message?

Jonah 4:6

And the LORD God prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery. Jonah was grateful.
We Enjoy God's provision.

But as morning dawned the next day God prepared a worm, and it so damaged the plant that it withered.
Fourth Question: If something minor happened in your life and it triggers, will you blame Him? and be Frustrated ?

He shown pityness to the plant yet he did not shown pityness to the nation of Nineveh with more than 120 lives, but instead wanting them dead.

Side Question : Have the things of your possessions or your things for your own satisfaction robbed you of your love for others?

And it happened, when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah’s head.

Fifth Question: God wants us to cultivate long suffering, can we bear the trials and overcome it with God?

Last Question : Do we hated someone who God blesses yet we did not know that they did something that pleases God?

God is our merciful God. He have the maximum patience than anyone can have! By Him teaching Jonah we can see that as long as we have the Heart to serve, God will teach us and guide us. Let us not be judgemental. But to show unfailing love and compassion to His people.

I believe many of us have been so mightily blessed by the messages this season. Being loyal. Cleaving on to our leaders and onto God.

God really brings into remembrance of the times when i'm served, i'm taught how to pray, i'm taught in the word. And this are all the foundations of being a christian.

By an act of Jesus washing the feets of disciples, i began to understand that our feet represents our foundation. Its like a pillar of support of our body. If we can walk in stability, we then can maximise the usage of our rest of the body.

That's why Jesus replied further on in verse 10 Jesus replied, “A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean.

We have to serve others, so that they, can build up on their own spiritual life and do the same to the others.

Thank you for your unfailing love,

Time Sprints . . .

Hold on to my hand, Says God

I will be a 1 year soldier in 4 days time. It have been truly a tough yet memorable journey for me. Thinking that Singapore make it complusory for all healthy males to join this journey, i feel Singapore did make the right choice.

My capacity is so fully maximised. With duties upon duties, with sleepless nights. And really Thank God for the Sentosa AR Commitee for sowing so much of their time, finances. sweat and blood! It was a success with God's hand upholding the heavy downpour for us! It was truly enjoyable doing the recces, plannings of games, but well, the admin part was still a brain cracking process.
(Thank God for choosing me, as your vessel to make a difference in people's life)

Lately, so many things have been happening that i've hardly anytime to blog, the hours i have in singapore is just too little, and too many things to do. Going to meet my sot mate next week who is flying over to canada to study!

5 more day , my first batch of boys is graduating as a true fight man, i'm excited for them and i've truly enjoyed the days where we train together. Its easier to be a follower than a leader. But we are a leader not by chance. we are a leader because we have the potential to impact people. with our experiences.

I really thank God for SOT. Like what Pastor Kong talked about today to the SOT graduates. Its really the Word of God which is the Holy Bible. Its like reading and browsing through God' mind.

So many times, i really want to give up when i'm serving the army, its just so difficult to keep my focus on God.

But everytime, when i choose to return to my own prayer closet, opening the bible and meditating on His word, faith arises and i know that i will definately fight a good fight.

Greater is He who is in me Then the devil who is in the World!

Mum's going for her MRI scan next thurs, i'm believing for a miraculous report.

Woooshhhhh ....

The world is running faster then me! My buckle was loosened and thankfully i'm still sitting on tightly holding on to the hand of God and have not fallen.

It has been a pretty exhausting week. Both in camp and in Singapore. But it was a real life transforming 2 weeks. With the Festival of Praise, Church 20th Anniversary and National Day!

I just want to thank God for where i am. I cant stop thanking Him everyday in my prayers for His divine appointment with me on 24th Dec 2006. From that day, i've totally changed. No longer a game addict, severe introveto, rebellion guy etc. (P.S. oops etc, ask me if you want to know more ha )

Putting that aside, i was told myself, IF ONLY! i've been in church much earlier, but God's never late and neither is He early, I do believe that day that time on marks the beginning of my Spiritual Adventure. Just like the show UP ( where Carl and Elly has started writing about their life as explorer and their main aim is to get to the Paradise Falls). Its like us always wanting to get into the Holy of Holies.

God's House City Harvest, Will grow from increase to increase, strength to strength and Glory to Glory!

Yesterday was Nation's 44th Birthday! And at the service Pastor Kong preached a tremendous awesome message. About lifting our highest praise and worship. Sometimes i just feel, i've did enough. But the sufficiency that we know is not the amount that God wants, He wants us to praise and worship Him more than we can imagine. To enter the Gates with Thanksgiving, come into the courts with Praise and Into the Holy of Holies with our worship. As we knelt down,

Ps 95:6 says Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.

We humble ourselves, and immediately a strong presence of God filled the entire hall, tears starts rolling down our eyes. It was yet another close encounter with God.

After service was an enjoyable time cycling at ECP. Its been quite awhile since i cycled and it was pretty fun especially cycling with my new cg members. Though there's still one who is not the first time and has just gained confidenc in cycling only :O

Went to watch UP after that, my first 3D movie, and it was super cool . Alot others were wooing and ahing ha. It was a very nice cartoon. I'm amazed how graphics itself can bring forth such great message about leaving the OLD and helping the present. In actual fact, if by helping someone at that moment, letting go your dream, Grace is sufficient for the person to get saved and for your dream to be fulfilled. Aren't it amazing?

AND FINALLY. I make it for my morning prayer meeting since SOT! I was joyful and truly though my flesh is weak, my spirit is strong. The Praying makes me not feel like taking a nap any more but to pen down some highlights of my life past 2 weeks.

God's good ALL THE TIME. I'm listening to Writings on the Wall and man, the songs are awesome. Now its aug 2nd Week.

20th Anniversary of Our Church

it has been a fun and tiring week of Field camp but i'm glad God expanded and strengthened the leadership and capacity within me!

I have boosted my confidence in commanding and leading and this definately brings me a step higher as a leader.

I'm superby excited for the 20th Anniversary of our Church in conjunction with the festival of Praise! Its gonna be so awesome even this week, many joyful and revealational things happened.

We are once again reminded to serve and be broken to everyone out there. Not the strong but especially the weak! Was drown in Pastor Tan's message of really serving everyone so that there is no division.

I'm gonna get pumped up this week spiritually and physically for FOP & 20th Anni Cele.

it has been a real good week as i feel strengthened to take on greater role as an instructor. I just find God expanding and maximizing what used to be my weakest link. Isnt God amazing?

I felt just so different playing for cg durin ministry time. It was a nervous yet the presence of God is so strong that it removes my fear. It was good playing and believe Gwen had her own breakthrough in leading for the first time. Word was short and direct about us moving on and the decision to grow deeper in love.

Will be a busy week next week with 5 days of outfield. See you guys on Sat! Tml service. It'll be a blast i sense it!

Be the Special One

Throughout the Preaching of God, i just feel God saying "Be the Special One"

I immediately went home and search for the word and noted it down from dictionary.com saying

: Special means Surpassing what is common or usual. This is definately what it means by being extraordinary,

Isn't that what God always want us to be, like Dr AR Bernard preached today about Jesus teaching the Parable of the Good Samaritan. found in Luke 25.

Let us Proclaim Justice, show compassion and empowering people from this second on more than we have ever done. To be 'The Special One' in people's eye.

It has been a great yet chaotic week. However i'm satisfied with the things that have happened. I'm allowed to leave camp on friday to fly over to clementi to celebrate Ming Hui's Birthday! It has been a real great time as the cg surprised her twice !

Bad Day?

had a really tough week due to H1N1 cases and i'm exhausted to almost 0%, thank God for His unlimited supply of strength that i am able to keep on leading and guiding the people that i'm incharge of.

Did an overnight COS duty shift and had a was really in deep slumber. Cell group was really good as we revised on E1R1 and the importance of sharing the good news and our personal testimony to others.

And Oh man, i broke one of edmund's bowl! i was in deep shocked as its the first ever bowl i broke, or as in first time ever i broke something. I was in superb guilt and i cant get it out till i called his mum to apologize and peace came into my heart.

You must be wondering, do i know his mum? no. talked to her before? hmmmm a little bit. The faith that i dugged out from inside of me is sufficient enough to have a little chat with her and i feel so released and relieved.

Sometimes, things happen for a reason, taking it optimistically, it creates chances for us to show that with the Holy Spirit, we are against all odds.

I'm seriously 'zombielically' tired right now and gonna have dinner and off to rest.

H1N1 Nightmare

I believe now the biggest nightmare is this swine aka h1n1 virus that is spreading around. I believe things will come to an end no matter what like the SARS. However due to its minor minor symtoms like slight fever, sore throat, cough and flu, its hard to self-detect H1N1! The word Quarantine is now a very sensitive word.

Total at 365 cases .

Mature Love

The finale of SOS was awesome. I can feel strongly the presence of God as Pst Kong bring us through the last chapter of Song of Solomon which is also a full recap of the entire book.

I was strongly impacted by the sentence : " Love is as certain as Death "
From this sentence we understand what is Mature Love.
Its when the Love you have is as certain as death. No movement. Your love won't shiver or even move an inch away. That's how our Love for God should be !

Lord look into my Heart,

Tell me where i'm lacking,

I'll willing Lord to do more,

from the bottom of my Heart,

I was totally surprised by the real belated birthday celebration and a big big THANKS for still remembering and squeezing out time to celebrate. We had a real good catch up with each other with major updates of our life. So let the rest of the picture brings you through the day .

I come to know that my dad's love language must be words of affirmation. Recent years, praising my dad seems abit difficult as i'm only slowly saying it when i'm a believer.

This year is different! As i'm translating what the written words is saying on the mug, i sincerely said that He's AWESOME with love. When you are feeled with love, the sentence or words that you said automatically reaches the person's heart with the same love!

The bottom line is we had a great dinner on Sat! and I'm sure he loves the mug.

Not forgetting our heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally .

An Earthly Father that cares so much for my family and devotedly dedicated his life to take care of mum.

Love can attracts our Greatest Enemy

It has been a rather tiring week having to book out day in day out due to some behind the scenes safety rules. Fell sick in the mid of the week and thanks for all the encouragements and prayers. I'm able to go for the SOS bible study in good shape! Praise God.

It was once again another blast as we further study on How the Shulamite woman describe about Her beloved which is God and How God describe her! It was then a real revelation for me when Pastor Tan further talks about Holy communion which is a time we re-examine ourselves on the broken body Jesus sacrificed for us. And how much our body is broken for each other.

It touches me as much as it touches to many of the believers and we responded with tears in our eyes.

I went for supper with the usual guys over at Keppel Bay with beautiful ambience and delicious cakes served with wine. It was awesome as i saw quite a few mediacorp artists there. like Michelle chong. After that we went over to Mr prata behind botanic garden to have pratas of course and things turn freaky when i discussed about the mysterious house 800m away from us. Well sorry for bringing it up and i guess we shouldn't scare ourselves unreasonably !

Man, i'm so gonna miss the camp castaway.... with my NS commitment on Friday. and Ranges on the following week. Its really a camp that we shouldn't miss.

I'm still packed with catch ups to be made in the days to come! With family appointment today including spending time with my dad for father's day! I'm so gonna get a camera soon to start my self photography leisure cum hobby.

And I'm so going to start taking my car license soon as cabbing seems like daylight robbery to me. Alright plans for the next 2 days!

i was really examining myself as i start my commader's tour in BMTC tekong.

i reflected back on the days where i don't even to raise my voice, as i'm born with a real low and dull voice. But knowing God's amazing, Paul said to the Corinthians at 2 Cor 12:9 that His grace is sufficient for us and His strength is made perfect in our weakness! So through this promise, God opened up the weaker side of mine and started moulding.

Now is still in progress and it'll never reach perfection of course! but it really feels different as you really make an impact in raising voice. I feel that's why i ended up here and God's plan continues on for me to be strengthened in this area.

Greater and tougher things will come. But on the brighter note, i'll be deeply within Him to be strengthened.

Celebrities weekend was awesome, Vanness wu and Miss indonesia led an anointed time of worship. I'm so touched by the number of hearts given to Jesus. Heaven's rejoicing!

yet another awesome SOS lesson. with less than 3 hours sleep on the previous day, i managed to keep awake, thanks to the hungry spirit in me !

God showed me visions upon visions of scenes that i'll do in my next phase of NS life. I'm excited. He brought me through my past sins, wrongdoings, the challenges, the narrow ways that i walked as Pastor Kong shared about his own narrow path.

it has been a pretty good week for me execpt that i do not get the off day to go morning prayer meeting! =/

anyway, i manage to go for Pastor Art's leaders' meeting at JW on wed , and it was awesome! as he shared about visions and passions. That we are the church. Using our talents and gifts to make our church magnificent. There was numerous mentioning of the word 'magnificent' which means really impressive to the spirit and mind , from the webster dictionary.

I noted one of his sentence that impacted me alot !

The whole world is looking for something that you and i have. (You refering to the leaders)

Its a celebrity weekend this sunday! I'm really praying hard i won't miss it due to commitment in NS. Had a real good encounter and strong spirit in me today though my flesh is crying and dying! but nevertheless!

Isaiah 58: 3-5 talked about finding pleasure in fasting! definately, i forsee a mighty harvest this sunday .

And finally i did something in faith to go for pm today! you can ask me to find out from me. I'll be believing that i won't receive any punishment tml. and I WONT! haha

It was a fruitful weekend i had ... A Quick update once again...

Saturday

It was an early morning Specialist Cohesion Movie treat with my entire course people, we went over to Cineleisure to catch a 1130am !!! (MY life's earliest movie with midnight shows exclusive) It was a great movie! plot is good, would give a 4/5 rating.

There after i went back home for some family fellowship and spending time with parents! At night i went over to city hall for a trade deal! and and and .... i went river island for a 15 min shopping for my sec school friend 2LT Woei Ginn's 21st Birthday! Oh man he celebrated it so grand ... He booked a yacht over at sentosa cove!

Had a great time catching up with all the dudes . YUP!

Had a great service with Rev. Mary Alice! She spoke powerfully about prayer and she really boosts the prayer warrior inside of me. I just love to pray. Praying feels GOOD! And i'm blessed by her short yet powerful messages about Praying for Justice! We are

After that we had great games with Sub zone cg members and friends. God's good as the weather is cool and rain ceased when we reach west coast! We perspire, scream, and had phobia with carbonated drinks! It was great fun and fellowship. Man, i really wish to go the youth camp. I pray i can apply leave! ! !

I'm almost finish a Jdrama series! Yes i love J stuffs, i dunno why, J food J drama, J songs, haha I'm watching this show call Nobuta Wo Produce. Its about some guy wanting to produce and make this girl name Nobuta Popular! It was inspiring throughout as the girl turned from a severe introvet to a news reporter! How life can change? its really by people, only we can change life's of people. Inside the show, it reminded me of the sentence, If you can see it , and you can believe it, You'll have it! that's how life as a servant of God is. To serve Him and we'll gain.

Alright tml back to tekong, what's next for my ns life? I wish to go for morning prayer meetings, Song of Solomon BS!, and Celebrity weekend.... !

My Week's Update

It has been a real long week!!!!!!!! as i go overseas and come back again. Ha. overseas as in the TEKONG!

had uncountable battles with Zzz monsters. It was a pretty good week as we went back to our enlistment island. Seeing all the recruits doing what we did 7 months ago. Yes! Thoughts of laughing, teasing, and stuffs like that come flowing into our mind but .... i've learnt to be humble!

I need to do lots of IBM man! (Individual Body Maintenance) so that i'll be able to train them well! i'm excited to take on my first batch of recruits. I'll be praying for their safety.

Everything went well till the last day, at the very last hour before lights off, i LOCK my Locker KEYS inside my LOCKER! go on and laugh all you want! Yes! i did that, with many different tryings and the help of my helpful bunkmates, we saw away the locker and its opened! phew.... haha, I was shagged out and just threw everything inside.

Anyway, the preparation course ended and i'm ready what the real thing, dear enlistees, welcome to TEKONG!

Run Through Winter!

I was once again blown away by the Song of Solomon bible study. His songs is so meaningful and revelational that i was once again so impacted & blown away!

Just like the picture i gotten from devianart, i typed "Runner in Winter" He has a goal, and that is to run and reach an end point. Despite the temperature, the covering of snows around, as long as you keep focus! we will get our desired outcome.

Today we learnt, about enduring through our life very own winter season, where nothing seems to be producing, or growing. But God makes impossible possible, a fig tree is actually growing in the midst ! A Solution may be on the way as you are having a tough time! enduring through, spring come, breakthroughs will fall.

As i sang the song ' God of my Forever' and singing out loud, with all my heart. "Forever, and Ever, Jesus You Alone in Glory Reigns. Forever, and Ever, with you i walked this narrow way" I began to weep as I was being brought back to days of my Poly, SOT, NS. Where i had many seasons of Winter and spring. God's wonderful, He moved in ways and patterns. !

Finally a Update!

Its been long since my update! i know.. so here's a quick update!

I started my Commander's Prep Course on mon and it was a huge crowd that came in! With a new rank, new position and new priviledges, thinking we are kings!.... we were actually treated back like a trainee again! well, it will never end till we really take on role as a commander.

On tue, i was given a big off to go for my NUS interview! and for the first time, i'm thanking SAF for letting me go, i'll let you know later :). The whole interview started with an IQ question : It goes something like that :

If Albigal orders Coffee, Brigidal and Claudia will have same orders.
If Brigidal orders Coffee, Albigal will not order what Claudia order.
f Claudia orders Tea, Albigal and Brigidal will order Coffee.

So who always order the same drink?

haha and I think i explained my answers well and got it right! I was totally in a state of shock during the interview when they ask questions like how special am I, how do i increase my chances of going to UNI compared to others. I'm really led by the spirit of God during this time and talk non stop! it ended after around 25 mins and i went back camp for a long 4 days of course.

As all know! that on tue was my birthday, i want to thank all you special ones, ya to me! for wishing me and making my 21st a real memoriable one especially to my Clique! and N317!

Back tracking abit .....
On Sunday, we went DOME for dinner , we = Stan Jason Selena Jem Timo and BY. Had a fun time there and there after, we make our way for a sea blowing time at ECP. It was a windy night where i was ambushed by the 3 men with a big cake and a Cheeseburger treasure box. I tasted my present during my first bite of the burger. haha it was real creative i admit and thanks once again for the time to celebrate ! Greatly Appreciated!

Friday! there was some delays at my camp before book out, due to people who lost PSP and wallets. We were kept till 6pm! before they dropped the case and we leave the camp. FREE! I rush over to expo for the Song of Solomon bible study and MAN! it was TREMENDOUS! the presence of God was so strong, we knelt down and all my burdens seems to be lifted up as we sang 'O draw me O Draw me away...' tears flow... as we renewed our first love.

And after that night, i went back and received i guess is my best present ever........ I remember during secondary school i told my friend this, ' I'm going to study in a UNI and its gonna be NUS!' thereafter, there's burst of laughters that they'll never go there because their standard is low! back then i wasn't a believer, so i'm naive and followed their thinking, ' ya NUS.. like siao ar?'

But i renewed this belief of going to nus, because of my vision and dream to study in NUS, back then in SOT, during one of the days, i prayed and a vision of me speaking infront of a room in the NUS campus. I'll never forget.

So, yes, i received an acceptance letter from NUS! i was overjoyed as i shared this with those i'm chatting that night and my family members. This prayer is in my prayer book and i've gained another tick for it! Also, i want to thank Ming hui Gwen and Selena for the encouragement while i'm waiting for my interview :)

And so, today i went for Night at the Museum 2 movie with some of my cg members and it was not a bad movie, good for a laugh haha to relax and get some stress off. Had a good fellowship. and ya tml emerge. May all the youths' Heart be open as God places visions and dreams in all your hearts! Ciao!

A Life of Surprises

I'm gonna miss my TRAINEE LIFE!

The life that God breathes into us, its full of surprises.

Changes are Normal, in other word, its a nature.

I've come to know it and confirm it after almost 21 years of living on this Earth!

I'm glad and satisfied with where am I, i can't ask for more! but to work for more, nothing comes free~ in many parts of the world, poorer, more unfortunate people are suffering. I'm glad to be in Singapore, in a family where i belong.

Thank God for His grace and mercy, i'm looking forward to the rest of my years up ahead.

P.S. Thanks N317 for celebrating my birthday, and sorry to all readers that actually i don't have the habit of holding parties and such. HEH! so... i'll probably ask some of you out for a Jap buffet treat :) that's my promise

The Chapter as an Instructor Begins....

3 months have past, and I want to emphasis, its really fast. Thinking back at Day one of my course, i was disappointed at being posted to this course, but the fun, the joy, the obstacles, the challenges, the blood that are shed and most importantly the experiences is priceless. I'm thankful for God's protection throughtout that i have never falling out of training or reported sick at all...

I really value these experiences and move on to the next phase of my National Service where i share and teach the next generation of soldiers. 22nd May marks the day where my chapter as a trainee finally ends, i've gotten my 3rd Sergeant Rank after 8 months of hardship(includ. BMT)

After been throught many many rehersals, finally i'm standing at the parade sqaure, throwing my beret, signifying the joy and relief of a fullstop to my trainee life. Everything have to come to an end. I'm glad i treasured the days. God guide me through the days with the Book of psalms where i praises God both good times and bad times.

Miraculously, my training in thailand both Rain and Shines. it was great! I'm excited for God's plan for my life next, and i'll be a life changer in BMT. :)

I'm glad for God's plan of my life. I've been through challenging moments of my Life! In the past 7 months of my Army life, i've been tested physically, i'm Glad of where i am, the boy who enlisted 7 months ago is standing strong right here with innumerable experiences.

Week back, i'm kept from my dad and sis about my mum passing out in the toilet. She's then sent to SGH A&E and warded for scans. If i've not called they'll not havbut it cant help when you know she's down with an illness.

After dropping the call and lifting what happened up to God, the news i heard on thurs was good reports upon good reports that are better then the past reports.

Easter Friday, A Day to rejoice and a day to once again let the whole world know that Jesus our saviour, IS ALIVE. Granting us the Resurrection of every dead circumstances we are burdened about. He has given us the freedom to choose. He don't force us to believe in Him. But the decision to believe in Him never leave a day of regret for me.

Today, i kept my parents company, as i'm flying to Thailand Kanchanaburi for 3 weeks, will be missing all my loved ones. But i know once again in my Heart, even i have not fly, that i'll be back, someone, ready for greater things.

Good Friday, Easter Sunday. Let us all not past these days without experiencing the atmosphere of Faith, love hope and Power.

Wake up the mighty men! It was a revelational Men United meeting with Pastor Philp. Thanking God that i'm able to pass soc on thurs so that i'm free up to go for the conference!

Met with a small accident as Jem's car was kissed at the bumper area by a complacent van driver. He was suay enough to have meet us just after a men's conference. So guess you readers should know roughly how the whole thing is solved ha!

Went for a movie with the usual clique at cine, Race to Witch Mountain. i give it a 4/5 rating for its good story line, humor , graphics and pretty good ending ~!

Adding on to the goodness of this week, combi cg with minghui's cell was awesome, with the message of being a big man with a big capacity! Easter is RTC!

have just been through a tough camp, as in for me, with painful experience that i'll never forget.

Looking at the scars, and blueblack markings everywhere, i'm just wondering how i manage to overcome and come back home still in one piece despite 2 sleepless nights and not eating much, i remember the One, who have bring me through days of thunderstorms, upon days of thunderstorms.

With 8 weeks left for my ASLC, i'm excited, my freedom is just a few miles away, yet, i can see from where i'm standing, mountains that are high, big rocks that are obstracting. Voices telling me "Push on!, suffer awhile more for a lifetime of no regrets" , "Yes!" is the only reply i could give, that's why i'm still pushing and holding on.

Standing firm, with mindful roots in the ground, never have though of giving up, and we'll never fall.

it has been hectic this week as i just completed my major 32km march. these few weeks has been focusing on UNITY, and i went to search the net for definitions, everybody know what it means, but there's no such thing as a correct sentence for it!

Unity to me i really believe is the harmony of many different attributes in oneness. To me i believe that Jesus's death on the cross united everyone's sins, illnesses and many many negativity, cancelled it all in exchange for a unity of Love to be established upon us.

Lets really take the opportunity this season to agree as much and disagree as little. Like what Rev. Paul had shared about the MoHawk hairstyle woman, its really weird for a woman to have that kind of hairstyle! but instead of criticism , he did the opposite by praising and giving better ideas to enhance it.

Things Expected Aren't Happening

Sorry for not updating, so here's a simple quick update from my busy weeks.

Starting off with one of my Fav Verse during SOT and till now.
Deut 29:29 “The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions. (NLT)

As bolded in the verse, there are so many mystries that sometimes, is not explained in the Bible. Sometimes the least expected location is our destination. Why could i have ended up at Aslc? i'm unsure. Probably the answer is revealed soon.

For those who dunno what is ASLC, its the advanced Section Leadership Course in SISPEC that around 400/1000+ trainees graduated from BSLC will go over.

Somehow, my physical ability has great weakness, especially in running. Need a real breakthrough in that!

My uncle who has been so helpful in driving my mum for regular visit to hospital has been strike by a real bad accident. He broke a part of his spinal bone, unsure of the exact name, which disabled the movement of standing up, moving about, in short only able to lie flat with head facing up. Doctor says he need around 3-4 months for recovery, thank God that its not permanent. However, the moment he say "I'm sorry, not able to send your mum to hospital this week already" , i stood speechless.

Hope your can keep him and my mum in prayers. Thanks in Advance. :)

It have been a tough 7 weeks for me, with so many holidays but activities are heavily packed. on a brighter note, i have already overcame all the toughness. During this period, i've been constantly reminded of our Prince of Peace. Days that i spent in the jungle, where i feel alone, as we are sleeping individually, i'll sing hymns of songs where voices of word reminding me to fear nothing, because the Prince of Peace is by my Side. I have a good sleep thereafter.

1 More week left and i'll be going another stage. Wishes to slacken in my NS life, and spend more time in my ministry, God Please!

It has been a long rest week after my tough jungle training in bukit batok. My reunion dinner was ruined! as i have duty back in camp. Didn't get a chance to eat with entire family. But looking back, i've alot of dinner with my family members whenever there's one so, deep in me i don't feel very 'ke xi' but still everything that happen has its advantage. Get to know things about the company, the people and etc.

Return for a proper celebration of the Year of the Ox on mon. Handphone jammed with SMSes. Went over to Dad's side for visitation the whole day and went to Mum's side today. Weirdly, this year don't really have the CNY mood. But still, i'm eyeing on the ending of my BSLC. Hopefully i go somewhere less commitment heh! Alright, back to camp later on.

Highlights and Memories of 2008

2008 has been a fruitful, fulfilling and a challenging year for me.

My first challenge was to complete my Final Year Project which was to build and program a moving robot to complete a certain task. From a group of 4 people, it was down to myself alone and i am determined to continue on despite my group members showing no interest in doing. Soon my partner seeing the progressive improvement to the robot i did, we completed it and even got second placing for Ngee Ann Poly in the Competition!

I Graduated from Ngee Ann Poly with an Accumulated GPA of 3.68 which is enough for me to get a secured placing in NTU!

With God, life's never the same. He called me for SOT to gear me up to rise up and to serve Him in a greater way! With my NS and chance of interruption, i took a step of faith believing that what God has called me into, He'll finish it for me! True enough i enrolled, overcame various obstacles, went a fruitful God-Encountering Mission Trip and Graduated!

Ben, the man who helped me the most during my SOT days. THANKS!

SOT graduation also marks the Beginning of my NS life, in addition to W381 going separate ways. It was a big news and everyone was in tears as its being announced that our great CGL is going to adult cell and members are separated to different Cell groups. We know that its God's purpose and our growth will depends on how we settled and be more on fire wherever God places US!. I'm proud of my connect group that they are determined and never give up on God.

Back to my highlights, i entered army on 15th Sept and it has been a tough 3 months as i tried to cope with the physical activities there, traveling from west to east, managing time for mum's visit, cell group and service. By God's wisdom, I'm always able to go to all places and treasure my weekends. I Graduated on 10th Dec as a Private. And looking back, i can only say,
Tough times don't last but Tough man do!.

My Mum and I are both fighting, but different battles. We know we will both emerge victory.

Right now i'm in E316, posted to SISPEC and many greater things has yet to come. I'm so excited to see the breakthroughs i'm going to have in 2009 as i completed my Arise and Build. Its also my 21st Year!

Everytime when i look at my SOT Tag, it just brings me back to my spiritual encounters with God, and it keeps me going. We always need to get back to our spiritual closet and commune with God just like how a car engine need fuel to move.
I'm believing for Healing, Salvations, Prosperity.

Well isnt God great, Jesus truly is the same yesterday today and forever. With 3 graduations happening in my life in 2008, where i always say to God and myself, everyone can don't turn up but not my parents, i want them to see the value of his son, that he have yet conquered another milestone. Thank God for his faithfulness, tough times that my mum undergoes during her illness treatment, has restricted her movement and have to often, stay at home to rest. But God make it possible and answered all my prayers. Here is a short recap of the 3 highlights of my life in year 2008!

First up is my NP graduation day! a 3 years completion and i'm proud of my FYP.

SOT Graduation! Here's when few weeks before, Mum's diagnosed with an illness that restricted her to move around much, but she promised and God strengthened and bring her all the way to expo. Hallelujah!

Nothing beats seeing my parents at POP parade, mum was admitted to hospital few days before i POP and i have really prayed hard and speak to the problem, telling my mum, "SEE you on Wednesday(POP Day)" by faith and she was discharged one day before i pop and make it to my parade. i was too happy to even forget to take photos with my sergeants, platoon and PC.

So 2008 have finally come to a close, it has been a very exciting year for me as i gone through many many challenges in NP, SOT and in BMT. In addition to my mum's condition. God spoke to me a verse that i feel its telling me that the amount of faith i put in Him determines the amount of blessing i receive from the Lord.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
And whose hope is the LORD.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Since then i have been meditating on this verse. "And will not far when heat comes" Its because our roots are by the river, and fear no heat. If we are rooted to the word of God, we fear no challenges.

Christmas season, let the JINGLE bells take away all our sorrows as we celebrate the great Birth of Jesus Christ.

Off to my new chalet. SISPEC. Greater Challenges comes Greater Responsiblities comes Greater Achievements.

It has been hectic week for me as i came back on friday tired weary and sick, rested well on sat as i helped to do some house chores and make my stay at home fruitful. Sun church service and i guess i missed the chance to go SITEX! Now time to go back for my last week of BMT! CIAOZ

I'm back and i just want to make a comment.

Appreciate the place we live in. Its never easy to live in a place that is total greenness in the day and total darkness in the night. Appreciate and I'm treasuring time i have in my own comfortable HOME!

I'm small, powerless weak, yet what strengthened me is not all the physical training, though they did helps a little but its my own decision of taking a step from my heart to clear away every mental blockage. What do i mean? Mental Blockage in my terms is things like giving up, falling out and such. Out there there are lives to be changed, if i overcame these, i can share these experiences and touch lives! That's what keeps my perseverance burning and despite my weak physical body, supernaturally the Holy Spirit bring and brought into remembrance the lives out in the World.

I'm thankful of my identity, I'm thankful i enrolled into SOT, I'm thankful that i serve the Most Faithful God.

POP is around the corner, what i have been through are tough times yet such tough times create a special outer shell of defense in my life. I'm prepared, mentally prepared for my posting where more troubles and challenges will come after i POP, but who can be against me when God is for and with ME!?

ASIA CONFERENCE! I'm gonna miss most of it, but i know the sessions i go, i'll be touched, Excited!

Field Camp Week

Commencing my 6 days 5 nights field camp starting tomorrow morning. Its gonna be real tough but what i really focus on is that after this period of time has gone, it really meant that i have accomplished and achieved the minimum requirement of being a true soldier! I'll persevere and ace to overcome all challenges!

A great message by Pastor Kong in this Arise and Build season. Unusual Response. What a message. Its really when we choose to make a different kind of response that is not of the usual, we will definitely be rewarded differently. I'm greatly impacted and pledged an amount that is unequal to others but have to give an equal sacrifice. I'm so excited yet its a time of planning of finances too.

Believing for breakthroughs , esp for that i have written in the envelop, she will be healed.

Mum's great nowadays except still of her memory ya. Have been receiving good reports. Thanks to all those who prayed and visited her. i Believe she will be healed 100% in the days to come. Miraculous reports will keep pouring down !

This week onwards is gonna be tough for me with things like IPPT, Field camp, SITEST that are all coming up, but after many of these it marks the end point of my BMT! time flies things are manageable. Do keep me in prayers and i'll remember you too! Time to go.

things have not been going my way. training in ns is still manageable. Back to SG. visited my mum. she's in great condition. the therapy she's undergoing seems very effective. The rate she got is way above those of normal patients. Thank God.

Service was a boom~. The Great commandment Great Commission Cultural Mandate. Its really these 3 core spiritual values that make the DNA of CHC. Living up to it and working with it. Innoncence is not a virtue! Never get drawn to temptation.

Gotten sick myself, very bad stomach flu. taken MC for 2 days. Meaning i'll be booking in on wednesday. Oh well, i really don't wish to miss any training but yea health and body is way more important. Gotta rest.

Today's service was a pumped up of my faith towards my difficult situation. Especially my mum. I have been visualizing my mum's restoration of memory as many of you heard of during the service. Immediately after service i went down to visit her, any there's minor signs of her remembering things! yes minor, but that is enough for me to believe even greater for complete restoration! Thanks for all you guys who showed care and concern, really appreciated it. It do hurts when you are trying to smile and laugh at her jokes and but in the end deep inside me, its painful. As i only can see her twice per week.

Putting the negativity aside, i shall speak to it everyday like how the water responded to certain comments! time to go back in for another week of tough training. Take care readers.

Changes, Happenings, Moving on...

Another week has past, and i'm starting to feel time flies in BMT. Life wasn't that good with all the rushing here and there, enduring the pain and the heavy eyelid, but i'm still enjoying life there with a positive mindset thinking that what i'm gonna achieve in there is something priceless!

had another great cg today as more turned up and get to know more of the members, well still need more time to get into their life, they are a bunch of havoc students haha with great talents and gifts, i'm sure God's able to use them mightily!

Hmmm just side tracking abit, my mum has gone for another MRI and it seems as the operation has not been done to remove everything, the lump seems to have spread a bigger area affecting the memory water vessel, now she's having random memory loss and weird conversations. I'm not worried about the memory loss as its definately curable but i'm so deep worried about the spreading of it, the removal process, will it affect her health? I just believe God did a miracle months back, He's able to do it again. I believe.

Her operation is on the tuesday that is coming up. Its a biopsy test meaning to remove partial of it and test it out to determine the name of the thing again. ~ ciaoz

!!!!!!!! ....... once again its my book out and time to book in, had a fruitful time with my new cg e316 on sat. new faces new environment but one thing don't change, the same God that we worship, we praise, we love, we serve! A friendly lively cg!

Thereafter cg went meet up with my parents for dinner~ and then to meet my former cell members, was like a reunion for us! all W381s are there. almost! had some catch up sessions and went home after. Believe it? i'm able to meet up with 3 different groups of people in shortly 7 hours time. Appreciating and treasuring the time i have in singapore.

Had my first service with e316 today and met jeremy at expo. its been long since i ran for seats and it feels good at expo. Edi led praise well~ had a great enjoyable service but unable to join for fellowship due to my booking in timing ): a rush here a rush there.

Tml mum will be going for another follow up with doctor, hope shes able to do the operation fast. looks like the thing in there is manifesting itself again. causing different negative effects. Shes now talking things out of the world which keeps me abit worried. my dad sis bro will be there tml so i'll probably receive the news tml night. First Book Out

Its my first book out! have been physically challenged but still manageable through the days ~
Did some catch up with friends . One at crystal jade for steamboat!

The other went timah liquid kitchen for a drink with my sec sch mates. It has been great as its been long since we met up, we can talk about our ns life from start to end haha. but well most of them poped already.

Other times were with my family and esp my mum, shes now suffering abit from aftermath of her head injury. Had some amnesia which keeps me worry. Alright going back to camp soon.

Really want to thank W381 for these few great days of love and concern, especially my connect group members Elvis, jack and lai aik, and my Great Rabbi Edmund. Of course to all other W381 members, i'm unbearing to go. Facing it in a positive manner, God has a purpose for every single change in our life, God moves in wonders, mystries and in different patterns.

W381, believe wherever your go, remember that you are serving God, not just serving people! If God has place you elsewhere, be accepting and i believe your character will be shaped by the anointing of God. ~ Cheers!

Inspired by Shing's post, i decided to pen down a few of my thoughts and how i decided on SOT.

My first impression was when bernice one of my ex cell member was encouraged and applauded for enrolling into SOT in 2007. Remember the things that she shared about ministering to people, having a life-changing experience. By her uncountable praises about SOT, that births forth a seed in my spirit to go SOT one day!

Many a times after CG, people like jeremy william or selena will decide on when to go SOT. And i'm the one who say, "Not so fast! sure your go first!". Then we were like thinking one of the year to enrol altogether! Things change thoroughly, human mind is unpredictable, we changes our thinking daily! Cutting my story short, it greater passion to enrol in SOT is cultivated as the seed in me grow when Edm asked me to sign up for it. I Consider for a Week because of certain concerns :

Heaviest concern : NS !
Follow by : Finances, Parental Objection, Unable to Work, Time commitment.

Day by day, i prayed about it, whether issit God's calling, and week by week i hear wonderful testimonies of life after SOT and im deeply impacted by one particular one who shared about being more open, able to speak infront of crowd without and startled. That speaks into my spirit.

Finally, i feel God speaks to me, "If you want to overcome your weaknesses, and if you are willing, go for it." i feel my flesh saying " Its too early for you! you can never do it!" But deep in my spirit " I feel a stronger pull as the calling is clear and loud ..... " So i take a step of faith and... #1 miracle : ask my mum, by God's grace, shes not against it at all!
#2 miracle : i got a flexible working job that earn at least $300 per month to pay for my fees!
#3 miracle : My ns enlistment date didnt crash at all with my SOT whole 5 mths!
Count it all, what God calls us in, He will helped us through. Pastor always say, as God gives us a vision, He will also give us the Pro-visions. Really want to thank Him for blessing me with great spiritual friends, they are priceless. The love of Christ is filled entirely. I can never forget the moments with God, engaging the spiritual realm, friendship building, the joy, the sleepy days, ... and the list goes on....

Everyday is just filled with surprieses, so to Cut everything short. If you have not been to SOT. Don't hesitate! Sign up for SOT 2009! I'm sure God has a calling and destiny for YOU!

Finally Sot 2008 has come to an end. It has been a fruitful, character strengthening, God encountering 5 months. Never can i experience this anywhere else! But one life we have, we cant stick on SOT forever! Moving on to a higher call from today on wards! Just wanna mention a few of my great Godly friends here !

Ben

Ben has shown consistent brotherhood and always there when i'm in need like finances, transport, encouragement and even knowledge! A Big blessing to have him as a teammate. One that i always hang out with and spent time with most! Cheers Bro!

Kai Lin Jie

Ling jie has been an inspiring leader that i look up to. We have a great time doing things together, sitting and waking each other up, learning from each other and of cause helping one another! The conversation we had are filled with laughter and giggles. Cheers for u sis, continue to step on to be a great cgl!

SHING

Shing is always filled with testimonies to share. Her love for God and faith in God inspires me alot and the miracles in her life when it come to finances really impacted me! Shes one also who loves to share her struggles and seeking help with her spiritual friends. That's when prayer changes things! Her boyfriend JiaHao is also another fun guy to talk to. Our greatest similarity guess is "shaking head" in class, guess you know what i meant! Haha will miss waking you up! Believe you too will be a great inspiring CGL, growth will be upon your cg! This brother jeremy, why is he included here? haha because I'm so blessed to have someone who live in bukit panjang and can fetch me to school everyday! Which means i can sleep at least 45minutes more! which is alot! Though not a single day has he been punctual, yet i still appreciate his every deed. Thanks Bro! Be a great pastor!

Holly

Holly! The taiwanese who is closest to my mum. Her visitation and prayer to the hospital for my mum really assists me through the 1 week plus where i visit my mum everydae in sgh. She gave me courage and faith arise greatly that my mum will experience 100% healing. Partly because of her, my mum is able to sit for my graduation. Thanks Holly.

Bobby

And of cause a Big thanks to brother Bobby for running this great bible school and He always encouraging us, with jokes, disciplining us to strengthen our character and motivating us to treasure every seconds in SOT. Cheers to Bro Bobby!

Parents

Last but not least, really thanks my parents for coming. My mum really make a huge effort to come, despite the long wait, long que, rejection my ushers, they still able to go in with a good mood to see me graduate . I'm deeply touched and feel so loved. Praying harder for mum's complete recovery. Thanks !

Of all, Thank God for the innumerable encounters, revelations and impartations. It really prepares me for something great that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard. I'm so excited to see what the years that come by is filled with. As i enter ns, i just pray i'll get to bring revival to my bunk, my platoon and people around me. All glory to be to the Lord for his ultimate calling in my life.

My mum's discharged! Yesterday the doctor still mentioned about her staying till next week for second surgery. i was so sad and disappointed cause most probably if that's the case she cant attend my SOT Grad day!

But miracle happened. after my PM in the morning todae, bro said that the doc suddenly , watch this word. SUDDENLY! yes ! Suddenly ask my mum to discharge . wooo now she's at home. she looks healthy as compared to all other patients. PTL! :)

Just an updated status of my mum.

She's better, however as long as the thn in her brain is nt out, she is not fully cured, i'll never stop praying. Really thanks to all who have been praying for her . Appreciated alot. i Can see her been greatly strengthened emotionally.

My mum will be undergoing an operation called Biopsy when her body salt level is stable.

A biopsy is a medical test involving the removal of cells or tissues for examination.
Notes: Biopsy cant be done with low salt level as low salt causes the muscles to be weakened and the nerves in the brain to be affected. Risk is that it may cause anesthetic and blood clot and such.

Just believe everything will be divinely protected by God :) With much prayers, a horizon of protection is being formed !

Guess we're all familiar with this verse! I believe all the sot students who have come this far deserve a pat on the shoulder. haha, its not easy, despite challenges to come early, clocking in on time, sacrificing our time apart from our daily life in the morning to sleep, we still continue on to come everydae to listen to the lesson and pray. As we make a decision to preserve on, and finish t he race! like what Paul say! We fought a good fight! the Prize i s priceless! A destination of breakthroughs and beginning of a new christian journey. Hah so exciting!

Pastor Ming talks and mentioned alot about attitude today, about falling asleep and minor attitude we have . hah guess really need buck up on all our attitude, so that we can be used mightily! To Serve God and His people!

Happy yet Unbearing?

About 3 weeks left ! haha sorry for keep like counting down, but, thinking of the exams, assignments and bible reading, i feel like graduating at this moment! But thinking that i'm not running the race alone, i feel unbearable this the friendships i made in SOT, mission trips, doing PA and etc.

But... we all need to be sent out to change this world, and of coz we all have a calling to fulfill ~ Alright! 3 more weeks! Vroom!!!

Aww well exams flooding the house again! Few more weeks yet it seems so little time~ plan to cycle to sch tml, but wonder will i perspire like mad hah! well oh well, gotta chiong my bible reading and listening. ciaos

hmmm currently my mum encounter some health problems as she's aging, if yea my dear readers see this entry and is a believer can help me to pray for her. Appreciate alot. ~
